Solar Section

The Solar section has been active for many years, there is a strong tradition of our members performing observations of the solar disk over extended periods.

The oberservers' instrumentation varies from simple telescopes to advanced telescopes, and the recording methods from simple sketching with pencil and pad, advanced sketching using timing procedures, artistically rendered and timed sketchs and sophisticated filtergrams from H-alpha filters. Below is a collection of filtergrams recorded by one of our most active members.
